Our Counter-Strike 2 team has achieved a stunning victory at this year's National Youth Esports Championship, defeating 16 of the top teams from across Poland in an intense three-day competition.
The final match against defending champions Team Vortex went to triple overtime, with our squad showing exceptional teamwork and mental fortitude to secure the win on Inferno with a nail-biting 25-23 scoreline.
The Road to Victory
The journey to the championship wasn't easy. Our team had to overcome several challenges throughout the tournament:
- Group Stage: We started strong with convincing wins against Team Phantom (16-7) and Digital Warriors (16-10), but faced our first real challenge against Nova Esports, pulling off a comeback from 7-14 to win 16-14.
- Quarterfinals: A relatively straightforward 2-0 victory (16-9, 16-6) against Eclipse Gaming set us up for a much tougher semifinal.
- Semifinals: The match against Pulse Esports was a true test of resilience. After losing the first map 12-16, our team rallied to win the next two maps 16-13 and 16-11.
- Finals: The epic showdown against Team Vortex was an instant classic. A 16-14 win on Ancient, followed by a 14-16 loss on Nuke, led to the decisive Inferno map that went to triple overtime.

Team Performance
Each member of our five-person roster played a crucial role in securing the championship:
Michał "Blaze" Kowalski (Team Captain)
Our in-game leader showed exceptional strategic depth throughout the tournament. His mid-round calling in the final was particularly impressive, adapting perfectly to Team Vortex's aggressive style.
Tournament Stats: 1.18 rating, 75.6 ADR, 1.09 K/D ratio
Tomasz "Frost" Nowak
Our main AWPer was the tournament MVP, delivering crucial picks and clutch rounds. His 1v3 clutch in the 47th round of the final will go down in SKIRN history.
Tournament Stats: 1.32 rating, 85.2 ADR, 1.38 K/D ratio
Jan "Spark" Lewandowski
The entry fragger who consistently created space for the team. His aggressive style paid dividends, especially on T-sides.
Tournament Stats: 1.21 rating, 82.1 ADR, 1.15 K/D ratio
Adam "Shadow" Wiśniewski
Our support player who did all the unglamorous but essential work. His utility usage was textbook perfect.
Tournament Stats: 1.09 rating, 72.4 ADR, 0.98 K/D ratio
Karol "Phoenix" Dąbrowski
The youngest member of the team at just 16 years old, but played with the composure of a veteran. His clutch performances in the semifinal were crucial.
Tournament Stats: 1.24 rating, 79.3 ADR, 1.21 K/D ratio
A Note from Coach Marcin "Tactician" Zieliński
"I couldn't be prouder of what these boys have accomplished. We've been preparing for this tournament for six months, reviewing demos, perfecting strategies, and building the mental fortitude needed to perform under pressure. To see it all come together like this, especially in such a dramatic final, is the most rewarding experience of my coaching career."
